Have anyone install the Server Guard agent on non-Alibaba Cloud Server (for example AWS EC2)?
Please share your experience.

Thanks

Hi,
You can use Server Guard to implement security protection on non-Alibaba Cloud servers.

I could install (in an Azure VM) with steps in this link: https://www.alibabacloud.com/help/doc-detail/40476.htm

The only additional thing I had to do was configure the firewall of my virtual machine (since I had all the ports blocked to connect outside the internal network).

Best,

Not used so far but I read it not a good idea to have a server guard instead of a firewall. I'm not sure that if with Alibaba it is mandatory to have the server guard. Usually, AWS or Azure services, server end things like security, and the up-time, etc are the headache of Microsoft/Amazon. Talking about the account level security user have the options of going with MFA, Duo, Azure Active Directory, etc
