Hi,
I’d like to know if there are any legalities if I opt to use a data center outside mainland China and if there are Chinese laws that can directly or indirectly interfere with it? It would be really beneficial for new subscribers to know what exactly they own and where does the data they own inside their hosting server go. So if the data protection pact initiated on July 2015 states that the users have “absolute ownership” over all their data generated on the platform, can Alibaba Cloud or Aliyun access these content either with or without any consent from their owners? During the entire lifetime of the data hosted on a particular server, does it go outside its region of origin? If it does, will that data be replicated or transferred on another host server in mainland China for whatever purpose there may be? Lastly, is there any law that exists, stating that you automatically lose ownership to whatever data that goes within China’s borders? Hoping for a prompt response regarding these issues. Thanks! |
