ECS using Shanghai Servers
Hi
I am doing a project in china which requires data to be send from locations in china to a china location(example: shanghai) so that the data will not be block by china firewall If I setup a ECS and select server locations in Shanghai, can I view/access the server and data in other countries like in Singapore, Europe? Thank you. Regards Kok Keong |

Yes, If that is the requirement you may access ECS using public IP or build VPN between 2 locations. If latency becomes challenge use express connect.
You might have to allow source IP to the target ECS security group. |

It depends on a country provider.
Some provider not allow VPN and other port. So should check first as a trial. This is a best solution. |

If you have a web server in China and an ICP license for the server, you will be able to see the website from other countries. If you do not have an ICP license, it will be blocked at some future point based upon government policy that an ICP license is required.
Within Alibaba Cloud I have not had any difficulties transferring data between Alibaba regions worldwide (Hangzhou <-> Silicon Valley for example). The issue to worry about is the regulations / blocking of data once it leaves an Alibaba data center to the public over the Internet. |
