Update Details

Thank you for your continued support of Alibaba Cloud's Log Service (SLS). To further enhance service quality, the Log Service is progressively upgrading its local redundant storage architecture across regions to cross-Availability Zone (AZ) redundant storage (this process is transparent to your business).

On April 7, 2025 , Beijing Time , we will initiate an enhancement to the cross-AZ redundant storage functionality for the Hong Kong region. Following this upgrade, the Hong Kong region will experience the following changes:

New Projects: Only cross-AZ redundant storage types will be supported for new Projects; local redundant storage types will no longer be available.

Existing Projects: Due to the underlying storage having been migrated to cross-AZ redundant storage, the dataRedundancyType attribute (disaster recovery type) will be automatically updated to ZRS (Cross-AZ Redundant Storage) for existing Projects.

Key Notes

No Impact on Business: This upgrade will not affect your services or workloads.

No Cost Change: Storage fees will remain unchanged post-upgrade.

Enhanced SLA: After upgrading, you will receive a higher SLA guarantee for the Hong Kong region:

Local Redundant Storage: 99.9%

Cross-AZ Redundant Storage (ZRS): 99.95%

Regional Rollout Plan

In addition to the Hong Kong region, upgrades for cross-AZ redundant storage will be implemented in parallel in all eligible regions. After completion, upgrades will be rolled out per region as units.
