Update to Elastic Scaling Limits for ApsaraMQ for Kafka (Serverless)

Effective March 1, 2026, we will update the elastic scaling limits for ApsaraMQ for Kafka (Serverless) instances to better align with usage patterns and performance expectations.

The new limits are tiered based on your reserved throughput specification:

Reserved throughput ≤ 512 MB/s(No change):

• Standard Edition: 2× reserved capacity

• Professional Edition: capped at 1 GB/s

Reserved throughput > 512 MB/s and ≤ 5,120 MB/s(No change):

• Both Standard and Professional Editions: 2× reserved capacity

Reserved throughput > 5,120 MB/s and ≤ 10,240 MB/s:

• Both Standard and Professional Editions: up to 1.5× reserved capacity

Reserved throughput > 10,240 MB/s:

• Both Standard and Professional Editions: up to 1.2× reserved capacity

Instances purchased before March 1, 2026 retain their current elastic limit of 2× reserved capacity — unless they undergo a configuration change (scale-up/down) on or after that date, in which case the updated rules apply.
