Dear Customer,

Starting at 10:00 AM Beijing Time on January. 22, 2026, Alibaba Cloud will begin a phased gray-scale upgrade to the installment billing of Public Cloud Savings Plans. After the upgrade, installment bills for Savings Plans will be generated at the beginning of each period and will support the use of coupons.

Changes

• The installment billing for Savings Plans will change from end-of-period billing to beginning-of-period billing. For example: previously, an installment bill for the time period 10:00–11:00 would be generated at 11:00; after this update, it will be generated at 10:00.
• Installment bills for Savings Plans will now support coupon usage. For partially prepaid and zero-prepaid Savings Plans, some customers were previously unable to use coupons on their installment bills. After this update, customers' installment bills will automatically match available coupons upon billing.

Description

The above adjustments will affect the final payable amount of installment bills for Public Cloud Savings Plans.

Additional Notes

If, after 10:00 AM on January 22, 2026, you find that your Savings Plan installment bill does not conform to the logic described above, it may be because your account has not yet been included in the gray-scale upgrade for the Savings Plan installment billing rules. If needed, please contact customer service to request inclusion in the gray-scale rollout.
