Risk warning on the automount option on Linux

Dear Alibaba Cloud Apsara File Storage NAS (NAS) and Cloud Parallel File Storage (CPFS) users,

If you configure the x-systemd.automount option in the fstab file of the Linux operating system, NAS or CPFS data may be modified or deleted unexpectedly. This is because after you configure the x-systemd.automount option, the Linux operating system triggers automatic mount of file systems when you access the local mount directory for the first time. Automatic mount is still triggered even if you have run the umount command to unmount file systems and then access the local mount directory. Make sure that the configuration of the x-systemd.automount option meets your business requirements.

If you need to cancel the configuration of the x-systemd.automount option, refer to the following document: https://www.alibabacloud.com/help/en/nas/user-guide/mount-command-parameter-problem#27199d63d53dy.

If you need to configure automatic mount at startup, refer to the following document: https://www.alibabacloud.com/help/en/nas/user-guide/mount-an-nfs-file-system-on-a-linux-ecs-instance

To ensure data security and reduce the risk of accidental deletions, we recommend that you enable the recycle bin feature of NAS by referring to the following document: https://www.alibabacloud.com/help/en/nas/user-guide/recycle-bin.
