Dear Customer,
To better support enterprise customers in resource coordination and financial cost allocation across multi-department and multi-account scenarios, we are officially launching three core capabilities for resource packages in March 2026. These enhancements will significantly improve the flexibility, controllability, and collaborative efficiency of resource management.
Key Updates
- Tag-Based Resource Package Management
Resource packages now support custom business tags, enabling bill-level tag aggregation. This facilitates precise cost allocation, accounting, and budget tracking within your financial systems.
- Tag-Specific Resource Deduction Controls
When purchasing a resource package, you may configure it to "deduct costs only for resource instances with specified tags." Example: A resource package allocated to the Finance Department can be restricted to deduct costs exclusively for ECS instances tagged with dept:finance. Instances from other departments, even under the same account, will not consume this package’s quota, ensuring "dedicated usage with clear accountability."
- Cross-Account Sharing (Unified Group-Level Resource Pool Management)
Enterprise accounts can now share purchased resource packages to subordinate sub-accounts with one click (supporting quota-based allocation or full sharing), eliminating redundant purchases. Combined with tag policies, this enables flexible governance models such as "centralized group procurement + department-level controls", reducing procurement and O&M complexity.
Availability:
Tag-based resource packages are now fully available.
Other features will enter beta testing on March 26, 2026. To request access, please submit a work order or contact our support team to activate these capabilities.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding!
