【Product Change】End of Marketing for Tair (Redis® OSS-Compatible) Single Node Architecture Instances

Affected time

2026-05-30 00:00:00 End of Marketing

Change and Impact

To further enhance data availability and service continuity, we are making adjustments to the sales strategy for certain instance types of Tair (Redis® OSS-Compatible). Please find the detailed plan below:

  • Affected Products: Tair (Redis® OSS-Compatible) - Open Source and Enterprise Editions
  • Affected Specifications: Standalone in both Cloud-native and Classic deployment modes.
  • Effective Date: May 30, 2026 (Singapore Time, SGT)

Impact Description

  • New Orders: Starting from the effective date, we will no longer accept new orders for the affected instance specifications.
  • Existing Instances: This adjustment applies only to the purchase of new instances. Your existing single-node instances will remain unaffected and continue to operate normally. Routine operations, including renewals and configuration changes (upgrades/downgrades), will continue to be supported.

Alternatives and Upgrade Suggestions

Due to the inherent risk of Single Point of Failure (SPOF) in single node architecture, to ensure the stability of your production environment, we recommend the following measures:

  • For New Deployments: If you need to create new instances, please select the Standard (Master-Replica) architecture. This architecture provides High Availability (HA), supporting automatic failover within 30 seconds of a primary node failure to minimize service disruption. It also offers robust data persistence and automated backup capabilities. Compared to single node architecture, the Standard architecture ensures greater reliability and business continuity.
  • For Existing Instances: If you wish to enhance the reliability of your current single-node instances, you can initiate an architecture upgrade through configuration changes in the console.
