Optimization of Logical Backup Plans in Data Management (DMS) Data Disaster Recovery

Affected Time

2025-12-01 00:00:00 (UTC+08)

To enhance service stability and efficiency, Data Management Service (DMS) will optimize certain logical backup plans within the Data Disaster Recovery feature. To prevent any impact on your business, please carefully read the important information outlined below:

  • Affected Feature: Data Management Service (DMS) > Data Disaster Recovery > Backup Plans > Logical Backup
  • Affected Scenario: Logical backup plans using public network (e.g., backup plans configured with public IP:Port for self-managed databases in local IDCs or ECS instances)
  • Effective Date: December 1, 2025 (Singapore Time)
  • Action Required and Potential Impacts:
    • Action Required: Before the effective date, please identify any affected logical backup plans and update the IP allowlist for the corresponding source database environment to include the new IP addresses involved in this optimization.
      • For ECS Self-Managed Databases: Update the security group configurations of the relevant ECS instances.
      • For On-Premises Self-Managed Databases: Adjust the firewall or network environment settings of the host or data center to allow the new IP addresses, ensuring the backup plans run without interruption.
    • Potential Impacts: If you fail to complete the necessary configurations before the effective date, the affected logical backup plans may result in backup failures or abnormal job statuses. To avoid potential business impacts, we strongly recommend that you complete the relevant configurations as soon as possible.
