To enhance service experience, we will be optimizing the format of endpoints for ApsaraDB RDS. Here are the details:

Effective Date: September 15, 2025 (Singapore Time)

Affected Products: ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL, ApsaraDB RDS for MariaDB, ApsaraDB RDS for PostgreSQL, ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server

Adjustment Details

• New Endpoints: Starting from the effective date (September 15, 2025, Singapore Time), the endpoints of new instances and the new endpoints (internal or public endpoints) applied for existing instances will be generated in the new format. Endpoints in the new format will be slightly longer than those in the old format. For more details, please refer to the comparison below.
• Existing Endpoints: Existing endpoints created before the effective date will remain unchanged and can be continuously used.

Comparison of Old and New Endpoint Formats

• Old format: instanceID.EngineType.rds.aliyuncs.com
• New format: instanceID.EngineType.CONNADDR_LAST.rds.aliyuncs.com
• Differences: In the new format, the CONNADDR_LAST field is added to represent region information of the instance. For details on the mapping between CONNADDR_LAST and region codes, please refer to the product documentation.

Important Notes

• If you plan to create new instances or apply for new endpoints for existing instances after the effective date, please ensure that your applications can accommodate the new endpoint format.
