Changes

The Model Studio will begin updating and upgrading the qwen3-vl-plus and qwen-plus models in the Beijing and Singapore regions starting from the evening of January 20, 2026 (UTC+08)

• After the qwen3-vl-plus update compared to the September 23 snapshot, the model demonstrates superior performance in reasoning and analysis tasks, as well as style control; it also features lower latency and faster response times.
• After the qwen-plus update compared to the July 28 snapshot, the model shows enhanced reasoning capabilities; agent capabilities and multi-round tool calling capabilities are further strengthened; and it delivers superior performance in creative content creation tasks.

The specific updates are as follows:

• qwen3-vl-plus will be automatically upgraded to the qwen3-vl-plus-2025-12-19 snapshot model, with no changes to billing items or pricing.
• qwen-plus will be automatically upgraded to the qwen-plus-2025-12-01 snapshot model, with no changes to billing items or pricing.

Model mapping

If your application is better suited to the current model version, you may manually switch to it before January 20, 2026 (UTC+08).
