Dear Alibaba Cloud DNS Users,

To continuously enhance product capabilities and improve service experience, Alibaba Cloud will begin the end-of-life (EOL) process for the legacy version of Global Traffic Manager (GTM) starting in 2026. All users are encouraged to migrate to the next-generation Global Traffic Manager 3.0 (GTM 3.0), which offers stronger functionality and a more advanced architecture—ensuring a smooth transition with no service disruption.

Key Milestones

June 30, 2026, 00:00:00 (UTC+8):

New purchases, renewals, and version upgrades for the legacy GTM will be discontinued. After this date, you will no longer be able to create, scale, or update legacy GTM instances.

December 31, 2026, 00:00:00 (UTC+8):

Full service termination. The legacy GTM console, DNS resolution, OpenAPI, technical support, and ticketing services will all be decommissioned.

Note: This EOL only affects the legacy GTM product and does not impact other core features of Alibaba Cloud DNS.
