Changes related to the launch of CloudSSO disaster recovery capabilities in the Shanghai region
Apr 20, 2026
Resource Access ManagementChange Details
The CloudSSO service has officially enabled disaster recovery (DR) capability in the Shanghai region, with the Beijing region designated as the standby region. In the event of a full-region outage in Shanghai, user authentication traffic will automatically fail over to Beijing to ensure continuous login availability. However, during the failover period, all directory management operations will be temporarily unavailable until Shanghai region services are fully restored.
To ensure sustained readiness and reliability of the DR path, the system will implement traffic distribution for CloudSSO directories created in the Shanghai region: under normal operation, a portion of user requests will be routed to Beijing. Accordingly, the operation audit log delivery policy for CloudSSO will also be updated — starting May 11, 2026, requests routed to Beijing will have their operation audit logs delivered exclusively to the Beijing region’s audit log storage.
Impact of change
CloudSSO users in the Shanghai region are advised to take note of this change. When querying ActionTrail event, it is necessary to query the logs for the Shanghai and Beijing regions separately.
