Changes:

To adapt to the new development of integrated lakeware, MaxCompute plans to adjust the pay-as-you-go pricing model for external tables and data lake analytics computations on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 (Beijing time). This adjustment aims to cover more data sources and reflect true computational costs.

The core adjustments are as follows:

**Billing Basis Change:** Input data volume has been changed from "physical size" to "logical size" (i.e., uncompressed raw data, typically 3-7 times the physical size). A computational complexity coefficient has been introduced, with the unit price remaining at 0.03 RMB/GB. The new billing formula is: Logical data volume × Complexity × 0.03 RMB/GB.

**Expanded Billing Scope:** In addition to the existing OSS and OTS, billing has been added for read operations from various data sources including Hologres, RDS, HBase, Lindorm, Hive, HDFS, and Object Table. The Load function remains free.

**Annual/Monthly Subscription Policy:** Fees remain unchanged. These tasks will utilize resource group quotas, and no additional external computation fees will be charged.

Impact of the Change:

Users of MaxCompute's SQL tabletop functionality will experience an increase in pay-as-you-go costs for SQL tables.

If you are concerned about increased costs, we recommend:

1. Migrating your computations to in-warehouse or on-premises computing;

2. Recommendation: Switching from a pay-as-you-go model to a subscription-based model. This is the fastest way to adjust and lock in costs.
