Announcement Regarding the Integration of Database Backup (DBS) into Data Management (DMS)

Database BackupTo provide a more consistent user experience, the Database Backup (DBS) product will be integrated as a feature into the Data Management (DMS) and will continue to be offered under the new feature name "Data Disaster Recovery."
This change takes effect immediately and is expected to be completed by the end of February 2025. Please note that no immediate action is required from current users regarding this change. For detailed information on the changes, please refer to the sections below:
What Will Be the Same
- Existing services, features, and functionalities will not be impacted. Current DBS users will be able to continue to use the service as usual, with all existing features remaining unchanged and operational, including but not limited to related APIs, CLI commands, and the ability to create or use the service. Documentation and APIs will remain accessible.
What Will Be Changed
- Once the integration is complete, the service will appear under the "Security and Compliance" category in the Data Management (DMS) console with the name "Data Disaster Recovery." The independent console and old access entries for the original Database Backup (DBS) product will be phased out.
- The name of original Database Backup (DBS) on related platforms (including but not limited to the website pages, billing details, documents, and user notifications) will be updated to reflect the new feature name.
- The Database Backup (DBS) documentation will be integrated as a sub-feature within the Data Management (DMS) product documentation.
- The Service Level Agreement (SLA) for Data Management (DMS) will include content related to the "Data Disaster Recovery" feature.
