Details of the Change

The billing method for the pay-as-you-go Cloud Phone service will be adjusted, with the billing unit duration changing from 1 second to 4 hours.

Before the Change:

The billing unit duration was 1 second.

For a pay-as-you-go instance group, the total billable time would be the sum of all seconds from the moment it was successfully created until its successful release.

After the Change:

The new billing unit duration will be 4 hours.

Any usage less than 4 hours (e.g., 30 minutes) will be billed as 4 hours.

Impact

Instance groups created before the affected time will continue to use the previous billing unit duration (1 second).

Any instance groups created after the affected time will have a billing unit duration of 4 hours.

This change does not affect the pricing of the pay-as-you-go service (the rates will remain the same as before) or the billing and deduction times (which will still occur once per hour at the top of each hour).
