Service Upgrade

Alibaba Cloud ECS g/c/r7t Instance Type PCCS Service v3 API endpoints will be deprecated

Affected Time

2026-04-15 00:00:00 (UTC+08)

Change Description

Intel has officially announced that its Provisioning Certification Service (PCS) v3 API will be deprecated on April 30, 2026 (for details, see the official Intel announcement: https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-Software-Guard-Extensions/Intel-PCS-API-versions-2-and-3-EOL-Date-Extended-to-April-30/m-p/1704170/highlight/true#M6434 ). In alignment with this change, Alibaba Cloud's Provisioning Certificate Caching Service (PCCS) v3 API, provided for ECS g7t instances, will be deprecated earlier, on April 15, 2026. To ensure the continuous and stable operation of your service, please migrate all relevant applications from the PCCS v3 API to the v4 API as soon as possible. Due to differences in runtime libraries across applications, upgrading to v4 may lead to compatibility issues, such as remote attestation failures. We strongly recommend that you begin your validation and migration process ASAP.

Scope of Impact

This change affects all users who have purchased ECS g/c/r7t instances and utilize the remote attestation feature.

Action Required

You can quickly verify compatibility in your test environment by following these steps: edit the configuration file: /etc/sgx_default_qcnl.conf, change the PCCS_URL parameter from https://xxxx/v3/ to https://xxxx/v4/, then restart the services and verify that your service operates normally. For detailed migration steps and technical instructions, please refer to Intel's official documentation: PCS v3 to v4 Migration Guide.
