Announcement for Updating Alibaba Cloud Public Images

Dear Alibaba Cloud users,

To achieve a better user experience, Alibaba Cloud is going to update the following public images:

1. Launch schedule:

a: Debian 8.9 64 bit will be available from September 7, 2017

b: CentOS 6.9 64 bit, FreeBSD 11.3 64 bit, SUSE Linux Enterprise sp4 64 bit, SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 sp2 64 bit will be available from September 11, 2017

c: CoreOS 1465.6.0 64 bit will be available from Oct.31（ September 21）, 2017

d: Debian 9.1 64 bit, OpenSUSE 42.3 64 bit will be available from Oct.31（September 28）, 2017

Service offline schedule:

On September 29, 2017, the following public images will be no longer available:

a: SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 sp1 64 bit, SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 sp2 64 bit, SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 sp3 64 bit, SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 sp1 64 bit

b: OpenSUSE 13.1 64 bit, OpenSUSE 13.1 32 bit

c: Debian 8.8 32 bit, Debian 8.8 64 bit, Debian 8.6 32 bit, Debian 8.6 64 bit, Debian 7.11 64 bit, Debian 7.11 32 bit

d: CoreOS 681.2.0 64 bit, CoreOS 1353.8.0 64 bit

e: FreeBSD 10.1 64 bit

Before and after the update activity:

1. Existing instances and custom images will not be affected.

2. Please create a custom image beforehand if you have to use the images that will go offline.

3. You can create instances using the latest public images once they are available.
