Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)

VPC peering connections have been updated to support IPv6, addressing network connection needs for users facing IPv4 address limitations.

Content

Enhancement: VPC peering connections support IPv6, addressing the limitations of IPv4 private addresses. Previously, VPC peering connections only supported cross-VPC communication using IPv4 addresses. As business operations scale, the availability of IPv4 addresses has increasingly become a bottleneck. With this update, users can now enable the IPv6 feature for their VPCs and establish peering connections using IPv6 addresses to achieve efficient communication between two VPCs. Both intra-region and inter-region VPCs can now communicate over IPv6.
