Enhancement: Route tables have been updated to allow a GWLB endpoint to be configured as the next hop for a custom route entry. This directs traffic to a GWLB, which then uses an IP-based listener to distribute all-port traffic to a backend cluster of Network Virtual Appliances (NVAs). This feature is designed for traffic scheduling in security-focused scenarios, including firewall deployments, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), traffic mirroring, and Deep Packet Inspection (DPI). Through the deep integration of VPC routing and GWLBe, users can construct highly available architectures and establish a closed-loop for secure traffic.
