Introduction: Regional Enterprise SSDs (ESSDs) are supported. A Regional ESSD stores data across multiple zones of the same region for the physical isolation of data centers, racks, and power supplies for the data copies. If a fault occurs in a specific zone, the Regional ESSD can continue with read and write operations to ensure business continuity and prevent data loss. Target customers: Customers who require high business reliability and data disaster recovery in the following scenarios: 1. Cross-zone database high availability. 2. Cross-zone disaster recovery for enterprise core systems, such as customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and flexible manufacturing system (FMS) systems. 3. Cross-zone disaster recovery of middleware. 4. Cross-zone high availability deployment of containers. Features released: Regional ESSDs are in public preview in the China (Hangzhou) and China (Hong Kong) regions. Regional ESSDs have the following advantages over other categories of cloud disks: 1. You do not need to be familiar with the complex data replication logic of traditional offline storage. You can replicate data by using Regional ESSDs to achieve a recovery point objective (RPO) of 0. 2. During application-layer disaster recovery, you do not need to purchase additional Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances, bandwidth, or computing resources. You can use Regional ESSDs to achieve better business continuity. 3. Regional ESSDs inherit enterprise-level features that ESSDs support. Billing methods: Supported billing methods include subscription and pay-as-you-go. For example, the unit price of Regional ESSDs is CNY 1.5 per GB-month in the China (Hangzhou) region.
