New features/specifications: Istio v1.1.4 enhances self-recovery capabilities, supporting automatic recovery of control planes and automatic upgrades from earlier versions. ACK Istio now integrates with TSDB. TSDB is a unified database service combining high-efficiency time-series data I/O, compressed storage, and real-time computation capabilities. To resolve the limitations of Prometheus local storage, TSDB provides remote storage services with high performance and high reliability at low costs. Compared to remote storage solutions provided by the community, TSDB offers superior ease of use requiring only Prometheus configuration modifications, seamless integration without adapter deployment, full read/write support with PromQL, and distributed elastic scaling storage capabilities.
