PT Bintraco Dharma was first incorporated in Semarang, Java, Indonesia, in 1969. The company has grown into a holding company, which represents a large community of several different subsidiary companies built through several strategic partnerships. Business units include PT Nasmoco, which is an Indonesian Toyota dealer, PT Andalan, an Automotive Finance Company, and several other joint ventures. In addition to having a responsibility to its customers, having a large presence in Indonesia, Bintraco has also made it its mission to establish superior working conditions for its employees, as well as be stewards of the environment, society and law and order in Indonesia.02
PT Bintraco hopes to improve the experience of its customers, develop better process optimizations, and ensure sustainable business growth in the future through a digital transformation project they call CARSWORLD. This project needs to be powered by the technologies and capabilities that only a large and mature cloud computing ecosystem can provide. In particular, with this project, Bintraco plans to use the capabilities of Alibaba Cloud's big data and machine learning to transform several business units, including CARFIX (Serving), NASMOCO (Sales Servicing), and ANDALAN (Financing). The first phase of Bintraco's digital transformation plan involves three predictive analytics use cases from the CARFIX business unit. The goal of these use cases are to improve target market analysis accuracy, establish more accurate inventory controls, and create a system for more efficient revenue planning as well as the introduction of loyalty points.03

Alibaba Cloud was a clear choice for Bintraco. Alibaba Cloud already has a large presence in Indonesia. Moreover, Alibaba Cloud can provide transparent solutions that can be fully managed and enhanced by the customer IT team looking forward. Next, given Alibaba's strong ecosystem and expertise, it can provide the tools that Bintraco holdings require to draft a clear road map and provide consultation on how to integrate several different business units. Through the solutions proposed, Bintraco will be able to better plan resources and gain stronger insights into customer service behavior and plan marketing campaigns accordingly. Bintraco will also be able to improve internal systems efficiency through keeping more accurate stock quantities and through better revenue prediction.04
As a part of this movement towards the holding's digital transformation, the company is interested to explore the advanced analytics offerings of Alibaba Cloud's Big Data and Machine Learning platform for AI. Bintraco considered machine learning and AI as important pieces forwards more proactively responding customer needs and wants. Some advanced analytics solutions that can be implemented based on Alibaba Cloud's Big Data and Machine learning platforms include the following solutions: The creation a data lake through consolidating the data from various business units and the use of data ingestion and transformations with DataWorks and MaxCompute. The development, training, and evaluation of machine learning algorithms and creation of an execution workflow using Alibaba Cloud's Machine Learning Platform for AI. Last, the development of a system where workflows can periodically address future data traffic and prediction results, which will be stored in a MySQL-RDS instance.05
Currently, Bintraco is in the first phases of its digital transformation. Moving forward, Bintraco hopes to continue to consolidate business units through a common data platform. To this end, Alibaba Cloud provides several powerful and well-integrated tools. In particular, the MaxCompute suite provides a common data consolidation platform. Next, Bintraco hopes to continue to create valuable business insights through predictive analytics using Alibaba Cloud's full-fledged machine learning platform.
